The embodiment of romance
Birds: I replaced the water in the sunflower. Area wildlife have also enjoyed the backyard water reservoir.
Plants: We have a strawberry, people! An actual strawberry! I am the queen of the garden!
Okay, back to reality.
The giant catnip plant I divided and put in the deck planter has collapsed. Will replace soon with catnip I grew in the basement which seems to be doing better since I put it outside. Still managed to snag a few slightly wilted leaves off the original plant and fed them to the cats. They were thrilled.
Since one of the chocolate mint plans has withered and died, I went ahead and replaced it with violas I grew from seed in the basement. Also planted a whole mess of violas in a green planter. We'll see if they do a little better.
Also planted four dark red geraniums and the tall, white bleeding heart into the Moroccan urn. It's really pretty -- the embodiment of romance -- and will look even better when it's twin arrives.
Pruning: I pruned back the lettuce and herbs in the Aerogardens. They were either dying or yellowing.
Water: Outside, I watered butterfly bushes (must keep them moist until the new pots arrive) and the remaining creeping jenny. Everything else looked good. Inside, I feed and topped up all of the Aerogardens.
Weather: Currently 78F. Low 43F, High 84F. What the heck happened to spring??? Clear. No precipitation.
